Introduction
This building, known as the chapel of Saint-Genest, was originally a private Gothic residence built in the 12th century. It is located next to the corner of rue d'Enfer and rue Jurue and was known in Metz tradition as the Rabelais asylum during his stay in Metz from 1542 to 1547.
