Introduction

This flamboyant Gothic church invites you to discover a real treasure: murals painted in tempera dating back to 1540!
At some unknown time, they were covered with whitewash. It wasn't until 1845, when the apse was scraped, that they were discovered and brought to light by Abbé SCHNABEL, parish priest from 1840 to 1891. The painter MALARDOT was commissioned to restore them. The work lasted 20 years. From January 2002 to December 2004, the paintings were completely cleaned.
Tours offered by the Sixtine de la Seille association.
