Introduction

The poet Paul Verlaine was born in Metz on March 30, 1844. His birthplace, whose second floor is dedicated to him, has been a Maison d'écrivain since 2012, and in December 2019 was awarded the Maison d'Illustres label.

The guided tour covers the poet's biography, his work, local history, literature and the arts. Individuals, families and groups of up to 19 people are welcome. Please reserve at least 48 hours in advance.
