Introduction

Nicknamed the Lantern of God with its 6500 square metres of glass walls, the St. Stephen's Cathedral of Metz perfectly represents and sums up the three gloden eras of stained-glass in the Lorraine region. Stained-glass windows of Hermann von Münster, Valentin Bousch, Jacques Villon, Bissière (1959) and Marc Chagall (1962-69).
