Introduction
Nick Mason and David Gilmour say that this is, unequivocally, the best tribute to Pink Floyd we could have paid.
So when these Australians take to the stage to cover the London band's masterpieces, the flashback is immediate. Welcome to a psychedelic past!
Adelaide, late 1980s. When Pink Floyd decided to turn the page, others preferred to pick up the book from the beginning. So it was here, on the shores of the Gulf of St. Vincent, that a group of nostalgic youngsters decided to take matters into their own hands. There was no question of letting this treasure trove of contemporary music, which had changed the face of the world, fall into ruin under the weight of time.
If a painter leaves behind canvases, a musician leaves behind albums. But what about live performance? How can the young people of today, and the nostalgics of yesterday, experience that feeling that words can't describe, as when the giants of London took to the stage to pulverize rock with dizzying ingenuity? The Australian Pink Floyd Show seems to have found the answer.
